We actually received a Premier email invite to write a review but even a very brief one on the internal Premier site continually rejected it as spam(!??). (When I called Premier to ask I was actually asked by Shelton what I was trying to write about Premier! It reminded me that I was once told to never trust internal business website reviews.)..$3300 diagnosis/repair estimate vs $880 correct diagnosis/repair at dealership. Most people don't pay for multiple diagnoses for vehicles, and we always support local businesses. So based on reviews we gave Premier a shot, but ended up w/same concern as Steven Turner (review 2/28/2024 ). In May 2023 we took MB CLK 350 in for full diagnosis and oil change, looking to sell car perhaps. A young, nice but aggressive guy at counter touted to an extreme their mechanics vs. dealerships'. C'mon there's good and bad everywhere. We got a list of immediate/urgent needs (approx. $3300 by Tech last name St Onge )+ recommendations totaling in about $5500, including stuck manifold issue ($1800), etc. Full replacement of both R and L front bearings and oil leaks re: cam plugs, valve covers ,and oil pan was noted as immediate/urgent (odd no visible evidence of pan leak to us) and advised us not to even drive car at all w/o getting urgent items done. Also, it was noted windshield washer was inoperable The one side marker burnt out bulb ($69!). Car was garaged and all put on hold to other personal priorities. Fast forward March 2024. We spoke with Shelton who confirms urgent items are now at about $3500,Re:inflation etc. We recently read that bearing replacements are extremely rare, just adjustment needed!. We then chat with neighbor in the business who recommends Hagerstown MB dealer or Master Mechanics Martinsburg where he takes his MB AMG. Hagerstown service tech is very impressive, and fully researches vehicle year/make /model. He agrees typically no replacement of bearings is needed. We opt for dealer. Bottom line - adjustment of 1 bearing $125 and oil leaks (cam plugs and valve) but NO pan leak, NO alignment needed, NO windshield washer issue, side bulb wiring issue identified by dealer($90 fix and bulb) GRAND TOTAL $884. Car runs great. Inexplicable as to the many repeat customers w/ often repeat 5 star reviews, but sadly not us.
